Dennis and Phyllis Washington have always valued grassroots philanthropy as a means of bringing about positive change in communities where their employees live and work. Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) was incorporated in 1985 as a result of the purchase of the telephone engineering division of its predecessor, Associated Engineers, by Pacific Telecom, Inc. ECI established a small office of four staff in Billings, MT to continue to serve the electric utility and industrial clients that the firm had worked with for up to 25 years. The company has grown significantly since then to a full staff of over 600 employees nationwide.
